School-Based Services
Our approach is based on close collaboration between teachers, related services professionals, and behavior specialists. When everyone works together, your child benefits.
At five to six years old, when your child enrolls in school, we adjust the amount of center-based ABA therapy to accommodate a school schedule. Led by the Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA), our team will collaborate with your child’s teachers and other school staff to ensure a successful transition into the classroom. Based on your child’s needs, we develop a resource plan to support and augment the behavioral health services in the school. This might include:
- Providing a trained paraprofessional to assist your child with behavioral challenges and reinforce ABA therapy, one-on-one in the classroom
- Consulting on your child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and attending IEP meetings
- Observing to advise on behavioral issues
